About Gävle
Gävle is the largest town in Gästrikland, on the Gulf of Gävle about two hours north of Stockholm. Every Advent the Gävle Goat goes up on Slottstorget, and for many children it is a sign that the Christmas break is close. Furuvik zoo south of town is a common day trip, especially around Easter and in summer.
