About the school breaks in Helsingborg 2026
The autumn break, known as höstlov, takes place during week 44 from Monday October 26 to Friday October 30, 2026. This five-day period falls in the middle of the autumn term, which runs for primary school students from August 18 until December 22.
The year concludes with the Christmas break, jullov, starting on Wednesday December 23, 2026, and ending on Sunday January 10, 2027. These 19 calendar days provide time off over both the Christmas and New Year holidays before the spring term begins. Be aware that each individual school adds two additional staff training days during the autumn term when students are off, so check the school portal for updates regarding your child's specific schedule.
