About Stockholm
Stockholm is Sweden's largest municipality, home to about a million people and spread across islands where Lake Mälaren meets the Baltic Sea. The city runs more than 150 of its own compulsory schools, and there are many independent schools too, which is why it pays to double-check dates with your own school. During the breaks, Djurgården with Skansen and Junibacken is where a lot of families end up.
