The autumn break, or höstlov, falls during week 44 and offers students a five-day pause from classes, starting Monday, October 26, and ending Friday, October 30. This break provides a rest period for all primary school pupils in the middle of the autumn semester.
As the autumn semester concludes, the Christmas break, or jullov, begins with 23 calendar days of holiday. Following the final school day on Friday, December 18, students remain on leave until the spring semester starts on Monday, January 11, 2027. This extended period spans both the Christmas and New Year holidays, giving everyone a continuous break before school resumes for the new year.
